Meals & Accommodations: Whale Pass Lodge is a family owned and operated lodge with friendly Alaskan hospitality. We offer two hot home cooked meals and a field lunch. Country style rooms that are comfortable are available, with a Russian-Aleut style steam bath (Banya) fired up nightly for your bathing pleasure.

Fishing:
Fly fishing or rod and reel fishing around our area is spectacular. Several streams located in close proximity of the lodge makes for easy access to Red Salmon in the month of June, Pink Salmon in the month of July, and Silver Salmon in the months of August and September. All summer long Arctic Char and Dolly Varden are abundant. Sea Bass are another species available and fun to catch because they are a scrappy fish that weigh up to seven pounds. There is always Halibut fishing just five minutes by boat from the lodge. Our motto is "Be where the fish are not the fisherman." We guarantee eight hours of fishing with a Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Fly fishermen need to bring their own gear but, we provide all the necessary fishing gear for Halibut and spin fishing.

Siteseeing: There is always an abundance of wildlife to view. Watch for Humpback, Finback and Killer whales (Orcas) that travel through Whale Pass - right from the lodge. We often see Sea Lions and Otters. Birds are abundant including our nation's bird the Bald Eagle that we consider our neighbors because they nest in the Sitka Spruce trees right around the lodge. We would be glad to arrange a boat ride to the largest Kittiwake Rookery in the world which is right around the corner from the lodge. The rugged mountains and waters around Kodiak make the scenic view breath taking. Everything you will see is in it's natural environment .

Weekly Trips:
The day you arrive will be one for setting in and resting to catch up from that long plane ride you have just come in from. The next five days are sightseeing or, choosing the species of fish you wish to fish for that day depending on the guide's advice. The final morning is set aside for getting ready for your trip home.
